A strategic development over the past 2 and a half years has been the establishment of UNIFORM CONCEPTS (Pty) Ltd, which offers "TOTAL APPAREL MANAGEMENT' solutions to schools who want the benefit of a shop within the schools environment without the associated financial and management implications. Nell Gray has grown into a major player in the school market. We pride ourself is the manufacture and supply of quality 'Custom Designed' uniforms that meet your school requirements. A school dress standard plays an important role in promoting a positive image of the school and creating a sense of identity among students.
UNIFORM CONCEPTS are leaders in this unique scope of services. Having commenced in 2007 with 3 schools we are proudly taking on our 23rd school in less than 3 years of trading. We currently employ 4 full time management staff and 25 part time uniform staff.
The idea of offering this Total Apparel Management Solution was initiated by Harvey Smithers with his extensive experience in the Sales and Marketing areas of apparel. Harvey identified the need to be able to offer schools a unique solution for their procurement and sales of school uniforms.
A schools dress standard plays an important role in promoting a positive image of the school and creating a sense of identity among students. We were aware of the fact that managing a uniform program for many schools is a difficult process as they have limited resources and time to do so. Many schools rely solely on volunteer help from parents. It is difficult in these circumstances to provide a consistent quality of uniform for the school.
